Let's process this together now....
He puts his hands in the urine and then proceeded to put them in...his.....mouth......
I let out the biggest scream.....both of my children looked at me like I was crazy, I dropped the phone, I scooped him up, washed and sanitized him.....At the end of it all, Aiden said "Mami, your SO silly" and walked away. =D I believe that was my first crazy toddler experience because I don't really remember Aiden doing something like that. Aaaaaah motherhood. It's a blast!!
I figured that since the boys have hit the half year mark I'd write down what's going on....
New things that are going on with the boys:
Aiden is starting to talk more coherently. Using bigger words and longer sentences. Recognizing more letters. He's 50/50 with Liam. Somedays they get along great, other days they are at it like cats and dogs. He's very over protective of Liam. He's always trying to protect him but he's also always taking his toys away from him. Boys will be boys. He teaches Liam new words all the time. He's always telling him "Liam, this is a ________. Can you say _______?" He keeps saying he's ready for school, he can't wait to go to school. He still loves monster trucks, trains, planes and motorcycles. He loves music. Playing the drums and guitar. I think we have a future musician in our home. We have now moved him into his own room again (more on that later).
I read this interesting thing today..."25 rules of mothers with sons". Give it a read and if you only have daughters, no worries! Just reverse it....I'll leave you with one of my favorites....
#8: Be an example of a beautiful woman with brains, determination, and integrity.
You already are all of those things. If you ever fear that you are somehow incapable of doing anything - remember this: If you have done any of the following: a) grew life b) impossibly and inconceivably got it out of your body c) taken care of a newborn d) made a pain go away with a kiss e) taught someone to read f) taught a toddler to eat with a utensil g) cleaned up diarrhea without gagging h) loved a child enough to be willing to give your life for them (regardless if they are your own) or i) found a way to be strong when that child is suffering...you are a superhero. do not doubt yourself for one second. Seriously.
